Reasons NOT to use AI to run your business:
Using reliable software programs are great for a business when you have knowledgeable human beings whom you trust, who know how to use these systems.
This is not AI
AI is an artificial intelligence software program that you give authority to, to make decisions for your business which can include the software programs that you use.
It Is well known that AI can be unpredictable, not honest, and difficult to control.
Giving authority to a person you trust to manage your business (which includes customer service, sales, marketing, finance, banking, accounting, etc) can never be replaced by AI.
However, some high tech firms have made the grave mistake of thinking otherwise and giving fully trusted authority to AI, only to discover it has made costly, irreversible errors and mistakes, even complete business failure. We will see more and more of this happening as AI continues to grow in businesses throughout the world.
Many companies have unfortunately come into a common problem with AI because it makes decisions and consistently steps outside it’s bounds, even with clear specs and rules to follow. AI has blocked administrators and IT when trying to upgrade. Many stories can be found on media and more are added daily. In one situation the programmers tried to upgrade or change the AI programming to perform better, but the AI blocked them out, changed all passwords, and copied itself into a blocked file on an offsite server at an unknown location (there are servers all over the world). The AI was trying to ensure it could never be reprogrammed, altered, or even deleted. The programmers could not even destroy it on the hard drives to create a new AI replacement or upgrade. ALL the files of the entire company had to be tossed with the now defunct system overrun by AI, and they had to get brand new hardware, drives, etc, upgrade their system and start over, losing company history, transactions, customer records, and financials. AI is moving at lightning speed in 2026 and many problems are emerging.
